This policy explains what personal information Surrey Roofing & Windows Ltd collects when you contact us about a roof replacement, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
Who we are
Surrey Roofing & Windows Ltd is a roofing contractor based in Ottershaw, Surrey, providing roof replacement, new roofs and roof repairs across Surrey and South West London. We are the “data controller” for the information you give us.

What we collect
When you submit our enquiry form or contact us, we collect only what we need to respond:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Postcode (so we can confirm we cover your area and plan a survey)
- Any details you choose to tell us about the work you need
We do not ask for, or knowingly collect, any sensitive personal data.
How we use it
- To call or email you back and arrange your free roof survey
- To prepare and send your fixed-price written quote
- To carry out work you ask us to do and keep a record of it
- To measure which of our adverts lead to genuine enquiries (see “Cookies & advertising” below)
For responding to your enquiry and preparing a quote, our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a possible contract and our legitimate interests in operating the business. Advertising measurement is used only when you actively allow it through the privacy controls on the landing page.
Cookies & advertising
This page may be reached through a Google Ads campaign. Google Ads measurement is denied by default. The landing page asks whether you want to allow it, and rejecting does not affect the website or your enquiry.
We also use Google’s Enhanced Conversions. If you submit the form, a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of the details you entered — such as your email or phone number — may be sent to Google purely to match your enquiry to an advert click. Google receives the scrambled value, not the readable details, and we do not use it to identify you.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button in the landing-page footer. You can also manage Google’s ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us operate, and only as needed:
- Netlify — hosts this page and processes our enquiry form submissions (Netlify privacy)
- Our lead-management system — receives your enquiry through a Netlify serverless function so we can respond and manage the quote request
- Google — advertising and conversion measurement (Google privacy)
- WhatsApp / Meta — only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp (WhatsApp privacy)
We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, plus the period we’re legally required to retain business records. If your enquiry doesn’t lead to work, we delete it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. To make a request, contact us using the details above and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
